Charter Oak Communities: Formerly the Stamford Housing Authority, COC provides attractive, affordable homes and support for thousands of Stamford residents, comprising a wide range of populations and needs. COC is a leading advocate and champion for innovative, creative partnerships that are redefining communities in Connecticut and across America.
Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut: The Child Guidance Center (CGC) is dedicated to improving the mental and behavioral health of children and teens through treatment, education, and community support. CGC provides specialized outpatient services to children ( birth-age 18) to treat behavioral, developmental, social and familial problems. CGC supports children and their families from Stamford, New Canaan, Darien and Greenwich, regardless of their ability to pay and immigration status.
Children’s Learning Centers of Fairfield County: Providing child care and preschool education, CLC has seven locations throughout the city and is the largest pre-kindergarten program in Fairfield County.
Community Health Center, Inc.: With a large office downtown on Franklin Street (also the location for Inspirica), this organization is a Federally Qualified Health Center that offers comprehensive dental care; primary medical for adults and children; school-based health services; behavioral health services, and gynecological care including family planning.
Concerned Clergy Coalition: is a cross section of congregations in Stamford whose mission is to minister to the social, spiritual, and ethical development of all people in Stamford.
DomusKids: Domus builds loving relationships with young people facing adversity, empowering them to pursue their path to self-sufficiency. Supporting young people, 12-25, through our school engagement and workforce development programs, Domus removes obstacles to long term success. Nearly 1,000 young people are involved in our programs and services.
Family Centers: Since its inception in 1891, Family Centers has grown to offer quality education and human service programs that address the ever-changing challenges affecting residents of Stamford, Greenwich, Darien and New Canaan. Through 28 programs and services, Family Centers serves more than 23,000 Fairfield County residents each year.
Ferguson Library: The mission of the Ferguson Library is to provide free and equal access to information, ideas, books and technology to educate, engage, and enrich the Stamford community.
Interfaith Council of Southwestern CT: The place for Interfaith action…The space for Interfaith conversation.
Kids Helping Kids: Kids Helping Kids facilitates the development of leadership skills through youth-led service projects. We empower kids to turn empathy into action by designing and implementing service projects that benefit other children in the community. All of our projects are created, planned, and led by youth. They provide meaningful and enriching experiences, foster personal connections, help youth develop critical 21st-century skills, and fill a need for kids throughout the community.
Kids in Crisis: Builds healthy communities where children and families thrive through prevention, counseling and crisis services available 24 hours every day. All services are provided at no cost to the children and families.
Liberation Programs: One of Fairfield County’s leading behavioral health organizations specializing in treatment for all types of substance use disorders including alcohol, opiates, depressants and stimulants. Our mission is to help individuals and families overcome addiction in order to restore their lives and ultimately strengthen our communities.
National Alliance Mental Illness (NAMI): NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization. NAMI provides advocacy, education, support, and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives.
Optimus Health Center: Optimus operates a Federally Qualified Health Center providing services for low-income individuals and families, including adult medicine, pediatrics, mental health, family and pediatric preventive care, dental and behavioral health (including substance abuse) services.
Recovery Network of Programs: RNP’s mission is to provide comprehensive care and expert recovery services to any individual or family on their journey to restore hope, health, and healing. We are committed to empowering those in need to get the compassionate and personalized support they deserve to help improve their lives, all while creating impactful change in our community.
St. Francis Episcopal Church: To welcome all, wherever they are on their spiritual journey, to live more fully into who they are to be and to work for reconciliation, love, and peace with justice for all people. We are Inclusive, because Diversity was God’s idea.
Stamford Cradle to Career: SC2C is a collective impact initiative, aligning community resources to ensure equity and excellence in education for every child, from cradle to career. With support from the United Way of Western Connecticut and the StriveTogether nationwide network, SC2C works in close coordination with the Stamford Public Schools and more than 50 community partners to achieve its vision that all Stamford youth will succeed in education, career, and life.
Stamford Health: The City’s only acute care hospital offers a comprehensive array of programs and services to improve the health and wellbeing of residents throughout the hospital’s service area. As a co-backbone organization, SH provides ongoing financial and human resources support to the collaborative.
Stamford Police Department (SPD): The Stamford Police Department is committed to providing assistance and resources for all individuals experiencing any type of mental health distress and challenges along with the effects of those disorders.
Stamford Public Schools: The mission of Stamford Public Schools (SPS) is to provide an education that cultivates productive habits of mind, body and heart in every student. Our vision is to challenge, inspire and prepare all students to be productive contributing members of society.
Yale School of Medicine: The Psychology Section within Yale Department of Psychiatry is one of the largest and most accomplished groups of psychologists in an academic medical center. Yale psychology faculty in Psychiatry are leaders in the field and in their areas of specialty, as evidenced by their record of grants, publications, awards, and roles in professional organizations and government-sponsored boards and committees.
